Part 73

Scene 1-Jason's room above Jake's, Jason and Robin are in bed.

R: Some last couple of days.

J: Yeah. Hey, when are your classes finished for the semester?

R: Soon.

J: Sonny's going to be giving me time off for vacation.

R: Where should we go?

J: We'll decide later. You probably should get going.

R: Yeah, I want to visit Brenda and see how her sister is.

J: I've got to run an errand for Sonny.

Scene 2-Tom and Felicia are at the Brownstone.

F: Any luck finding Simone?

T: No. Now I'm worried. Have you seen Tony and Bobbie?

F: No. They've disappeared.

T: This is all very strange.

F: Yes. You think it has something to do with the Cassadines?

Scene 3-Jax is on the phone.

J: You sold your stock to Scott Baldwin? Why not me? Oh, ok. Well, your

son's ex-girlfriend is in town. She's helping me. Yeah, she's bringing

her to town, too. No, I don't think Lois knows, yet.

Scene 4-Kevin and Alexis at Wyndemere.

K: What is the computer virus for?

A: It's very complicated. I'm not very sure myself.

K: Oh.

Scene 5-Monica knocks on the Spencers door. Lesley answers.

M: Hello Lesley.

L: You came to pick up Emily?

M: Yes.

L: She's in the bathroom. She should be down in a few minutes.

M: Ok. So, how are the wedding plans going?

L: Pretty good. Rick and I are hoping to get married by the end of this

month.

Emily comes down.

M: Oh Emily. (Goes to her and hugs her.) Where were you all night?

E: With Lucky.

Lucky comes out of the kitchen.

Lucky: Hi Monica.

M: Lucky. Emily, we better go.

Lucky: Wait, Emily, can we talk for a sec?

E: Sure.

Lucky drags her in the kitchen.

Lucky: Emily, you've got to tell Monica what happened last night.

E: I don't know Lucky.

Lucky: You have to or nothing will get better.

E: Ok.

Lucky: (Hugs her.) Good.

Scene 6-Lucy and Scott go into Julia's hospital room, where Brenda is.

B: Lucy. (Hugs her.) And, Scott. You're back in town?

S: Yep, came back with my little girl. How is she?

B: Hanging in. She hasn't woken up, yet.

L: She will, trust me.

B: (Grabs Lucy's hand.) I hope so.

Scene 7-At the Spencers, Lesley and Monica are in the front room.

L: I don't know. Rick and I came here to talk to Luke and Laura about

the wedding and there was Lucky and Emily asleep on the porch.

M: They slept outside?

L: I guess so. Hey, why aren't you at the hospital. I mean, I thought as

chief of staff you would have to be present when they are hiring a new

doctor.

M: Along with hiring a new doctor, the board will be deciding on a new

chief of staff. I resigned.

L: Why?

Lucky and Emily come out of the kitchen.

E: I'm ready to go.

M: Ok. Lesley, I'll see you later.

Monica and Emily leave.

L: Lucky, what went on last night?

Lucky: A lot. I have to get to school. Where are mom and dad?

L: I'm not sure.

Scene 8-Laura is at Tom's office.

L: I realize you have a meeting in a few minutes, but I want to ask you

about my mother.

T: What about her?

L: Do you think she could go back to medicine?

T: After her help during the plane crash, yeah. I mean she might have to

go back to medical school for refresher courses, but I think it's

possible. Look, I really have to get to this meeting. Maybe Lesley and I

can talk about it.

Scene 9-GH Board Meeting. Alan, Edward, Amanda Barrington, Alexis,

Stefan, Justus, Audrey, Rick, and Tom are there.

R: Angela Winters. Doctors, all those in favor?

Alan/T/R: I.

S: Mrs. Barrington, Edward?

Amanda: I agree.

E: Neigh.

S: Ok, Alexis will you go out and get Dr. Winters and tell her she's got

the job. And bring her in so she can meet the chief of staff. (Alexis

leaves.) As you may all know, Monica Quartermaine resigned from her

chief of staff position. As assistant chief of staff, Tom is in the

running for the position. I would also like Rick and Alan to consider

the position.

Part 74

Scene 1-Sonny, Jason, and Luke are meeting in Luke's office at Luke's.

L: What's this gathering about?

S: Jeff, he contacted a doctor over in Greece that's on Stefan's

payroll. Turns out Jeff knew the doc and he told Jeff what he's been

working on. A virus that'll take total control over an entire computer

system from a little lap top.

L: Who is this doc?

S: Victor Collins.

J: As in Kevin.

L: Hmmm... Is there some kind of anti-virus or something?

S: Nope.

J: Jeff has Collins working on an anti-virus. As far as Cassadine knows,

Victor Collins is dead.

L: Jeff'll bring this anti-virus to Port Chuck?

S: Yep, as soon as Collins can finish, see Collins has been taken

advantage of, both Victor and Kevin, neither of them know what

Cassadine's doing. Victor's willing to help. Anyways, before Jeff comes,

his son Steve's coming.

L: Why?

S: Seems Steve's some kind of computer whiz and might be able to hack

into the computer system to see how far Cassadine has gone and then when

the anti-virus is done, he can enter that.

Scene 2-The GH Board Meeting, Alexis brings Angela in.

S: Dr. Winters, welcome aboard.

Angela: Thank you, Mr. Cassadine.

S: I thought you'd enjoy learning who you will be working under. Dr. Tom

Hardy is our new chief of staff.

Angela looks at Tom.

Angela: Tommy Hardy!

T: Yes, oh my gosh, it's you, Angela, I didn't even realize...

E: Ok, while you two have your reunion, are we finished with business?

S: Yes, we are Edward.

Everyone leaves, Tom and Angela are the only ones left.

T: Wow! The last time I saw you, you were about 10.

Angela: I went to boarding school.

T: And we lost touch.

Scene 3-In the park, Emily and Monica are sitting on a bench.

M: What happened last night?

E: I wish I could forget it, in fact, I wish I could forget the last six

months, but I can't. Last night, I went, well, I came here. See this is

where Matt and I used to meet... And do drugs. I thought about him. I

just sat here, then I saw Lucky. You probably read about what he did in

the paper.

M: Yes, Lila mentioned it.

E: I saw him here. I had no idea what was going on, but I saw him buying

drugs. I couldn't believe Lucky was doing that and I went nuts.

M: What do you mean?

E: I went back to the house. I was so upset. (Starts to sniffle.) I

looked for any kind of drugs or pills. I found a bottle of Alan's pain

pills (Starts to cry, Monica holds her.) and I went to the docks and I-

I was ready to end it all. (Monica starts to cry.) But, I didn't. I was

stopped. Maybe it was Nikolas, Lucky, or Gina. But, I really think it

was the fact that I was afraid to die. Sure, I was afraid of living, but

I was more afraid of dying.

Monica holds Emily tight.

M: Sweetie, it's alright. I love you.

Scene 4-Rick and Alan are in the GH lobby.

R: Why did you decline the assistant chief of staff position?

A: Because I wanted to get back into surgery and because of Emily. You

really deserve the position.

R: Thank you, Alan, but what about chief cardiologist? Who is going to

take that position?

A: Monica said that she won't do it, at least not right now.

R: That girl has really changed Monica.

A: Yes. I think Monica always wanted to have a daughter and when she

finally met her daughter, Dawn, she was an adult. Then, she lost her.

Monica's going to do everything in her power for Emily and I am, too.

R: You're doing the right thing. I wish I could go back and do the same

for Ricky.

Scene 5-At Kelly's; an eighteen-year-old man about six feet tall, with

light brown hair, brown eyes, and an athletic build, wearing a white

shirt and cut off jeans, walks in. He sits at the counter and Ruby comes

up to him.

R: Can I help you?

Man: Yes, are you Ruby Anderson?

R: Yes, why?

M: I'm looking to rent a room.

R: And your name is?

M: Steve Webber.

R: Jeff Webber's son?

Steve: The one and only.

Scene 6-Lucky and Sly are walking into Kelly's.

S: You're a hero.

L: Yeah, (Smiles.) but that's not why I did it.

S: I know, (Mocking Lucky.) you did it for Emily. Um... Are you just

going to stick with one girl?

L: Man, I love her. Don't say anything about other girls, there aren't

any. (Sly and Lucky walk over to the counter.) I wonder where aunt Ruby

is.

S: She's getting me keys to one of her rooms.

L: Well, hello, my name's Lucky. This is Sly.

S: Steve.

Scene 7-Luke, Sonny, and Jason are in Luke's office at Luke's.

L: What's this Steve kid like?

S: I don't know. All I know is he's eighteen and a computer whiz.

J: I'm supposed to meet him at Kelly's.

L: How're you going to do that, when you don't know he looks like?

J: I'll ask Ruby. I'm sure by the time I get there she'll know who he

is. I've got to go.

S: Ok. Make sure the kid has enough money and a place to stay.

J: Yeah.

Jason leaves.

Scene 8-Tom and Angela are in the board room, after the meeting.

A: So, Mr. Chief of Staff, what's happened since way back when?

T: Well, you know about my professional standings. I went to Africa to

help in the medical effort. In my personal life, I think, I've botched

things up. I married a doctor and I have a son, Tommy. We had several

problems, the first being it was an interracial marriage and it seemed

like everywhere we turned people were against us. Then, I went to

Africa, and while I was gone, she met another man. The only relationship

I've had since fell through, because of a little thing called trust.

Now, how have you done?

A: Well, let me see how I've screwed up.

T: How could you have screwed up, you're a world famous neurosurgeon.

A: I believe that's world renowned. (They laugh.) Well, when I went to

boarding school it went down hill. I was sixteen, and pregnant. And now,

I have a thirteen year old, who keeps reminding me her birthday's coming

soon. I love her, but I wish I had waited a little while.

T: Wow. You had to grow up fast. What's her name?

A: Nicole.

T: When do I get to meet her?

A: She's coming to town in a few days. My boyfriend's bringing her here

when her classes are finished.

T: So, what's the lucky guy's name?

A: Paul Simmons.

T: That name sounds familiar.

Scene 9-Lucky, Sly, and Steve are at the counter at Kelly's.

L: New in town?

Steve: Yep.

L: Where are you from?

Steve: A little bit of everywhere. I was born in New York and since then

I've lived all over the west coast. I was going to UCLA.

L: What made you decide to come to Port Charles?

Steve: My dad.

Sly: Who's your dad?

Steve: Dr. Jeff Webber, he used to live here.

Gina comes out.

G: Steve?

Steve: (Turning on the charm.) Yes, and you would be?

G: Gina Williams. (Hands Steve the keys to his new place above Kelly's.)

I'm your new neighbor.

Steve: Nice to meet you. (Gina walks off, as Steve stares.) Wow! What a

babe!

L: A taken one. Hey, you said your last name is Webber, didn't you?

Steve: Yep.

L: Any relation to Rick Webber?

Steve: Yeah, um, he's my uncle, but I've never met him.

L: Nice to meet you, cus. I'm Rick's grandson.

Scene 10-Edward and Ned are at ELQ.

N: Grandfather, checking up on me?

E: After you missed that meeting, yes. Actually, I wanted to know about

the situation with Angela.

N: She's agreed to keep quiet. Is there something else?

E: Yes, I was talking to Amanda Barrington after the hospital board

meeting.

N: How'd that go anyhow?

E: Tom's chief of staff, Rick Webber's assistant chief of staff. They

hired Angela. Anyhow, Amanda owns the Pelicans hockey team.

N: The hockey team, yes?

E: And she's putting it up on the market and wanted us to be the first

ones to know.

N: She thinks we'd buy it?

E: I looked at a copy of the books and I think it would be a great deal.

Part 75

Scene 1-Stefan, Katherine, and Alexis are at Wyndemere.

K: So, when does this plan go into motion?

S: Once everything is calm and the virus has been introduced to all of

the computer systems in Port Charles.

A: Are you sure about this?

S: Absolutely.

A: What about Nikolas?

S: There's something you should know about him.

Scene 2-Tom and Angela are in the board room.

A: Do you watch minor league hockey games?

T: Every now and then.

A: He played for the team back in Kansas City. He's hoping to sign with

the team here.

Scene 3-Lucky, Sly, and Steve are at the counter at Kelly's.

Steve: Well, it's nice to find out I have relatives besides my psycho

mother or my doctor father.

L: Steve, you'll have to come over sometime. Look, I've got to go.

Sly: Yeah, me, too.

Steve: Where do you live?

L: Ruby can give you the address.

Steve: Okay, later.

Lucky and Sly walk outside.

Sly: See you tomorrow.

Lucky rides off on his bike and Sly walks off. Emily and Monica come

walking to the door from the other direction.

M: You're getting a reprieve from Cooks cooking, enjoy it in good

health!

They walk in and sit. Emily looks at Steve at the counter.

E: Oh my gosh. (Goes up to him.) Joey.

Steve: (Not looking.) Actually, the name's Steve. (Turns to see her.)

Emily?

E: What do you mean your name is Steve?

Steve: Remember my mom, my psycho mom? She kidnapped me from my father

and called me Joey. My real name's Steve.

E: What're you doing here?

Steve: Moved here. My dad used to live here. What're you doing here?

E: My mom died of cancer a few years ago. Alan and Monica Quartermaine

adopted me and I moved to Port Charles.

Monica comes over.

M: Emily.

E: Monica, this is Steve, well, when I knew him he was Joey Grant.

Steve, what's your last name?

S: Steve Webber. Hello Dr. Quartermaine.

M: Oh my.

E: What? Wait a minute, how'd you know she's a doctor?

Jason comes in.

Scene 4-Ned and Edward are at ELQ.

N: Do you want it to be an ELQ purchase?

E: Of course, it's my company.

N: Yours and what eight others. Well, as CEO, I think we should call a

board meeting.

E: Ok, but if you keep missing other meetings, you won't have that

decision any more.

N: You really think A.J. could swing it?

E: I know he can, so you better prove something to me.

Lucy comes in.

N: Lucy, what do you want?

L: I came to ask you about the nurses ball.

N: Sure, I'll sing. (Lucy just stands there.) Something else?

L: I now own your mother's shares of ELQ stock.

N: She wouldn't sell to you. She wouldn't sell that for the world.

L: She sold it to Scott. It seems old Tracy wants to prove something to

you and Edward.

Scene 5-Lucky walks into the Spencers.

Lucky: Mom, Dad! I'm home!

Luke and Laura come out of the kitchen.

Luke: Cowboy.

Laura: Lucky, sit down.

Lucky: What's wrong?

Luke: Nothing. Cowboy, remember when the Quartermaines went to jail?

Lucky: Yeah.

Luke: Well, when Sly told you about Emily, we were about to tell you

something.

Lucky: Yeah, what was it?

Laura: It's about Nikolas.

Split to Katherine, Alexis, and Stefan at Wyndemere.

A: What about Nikolas?

Back to the Spencers'.

Luke: Nik isn't your half brother.

Back to Wyndemere.

S: Nikolas isn't Stavros' son.

Back to the Spencers'.

Lucky: What do you mean?

Back to Wyndemere.

S: Nikolas isn't a Cassadine.

Back to the Spencers'.

Laura: Lucky, Nikolas is your full brother.

Back to Wyndemere.

A: Does Helena know this?

Back to the Spencers'.

Luke: Nikolas doesn't know and right now it has to stay that way.

Back to Wyndemere.

S: Yes, and she thought we could take advantage of the situation, and

make the boy one of our own.

Scene 6-Emily, Steve, and Monica are at the counter at Kelly's. Jason

walks over.

J: Emily, Monica.

E: Hi Jason, this is Steve.

J: Just the man I'm looking for.

S: Jason Morgan?

J: Yeah.

E: Well, maybe I'll see you later.

S: Yeah, sure, I'll be living upstairs.

E: I'll come by sometime.

S: Bye, oh, Dr. Quartermaine, it was nice to meet you.

Emily and Monica walk out.

E: Hey, we didn't eat.

M: Why don't we go home and eat.

E: What's wrong? Hey, did Steve say his last name was Webber?

M: Yes.

E: He must be related to Rick.

M: He's Rick's nephew.

E: That's how he knew you were a doctor?

M: No, actually, he knows that because I knew his father.

E: You knew him how?

Scene 7-Monica and Emily are outside of Kelly's.

M: Emily, when I first moved here, I was married. Alan, well, he

probably hadn't heard of Port Charles at that time.

E: So, you were married before. What does that have to do with Steve's

dad?

M: I was married to another doctor, we both came to town to participate

in GH's intern program. It seems like ages ago.

E: This other doctor was Steve's dad?

M: Bingo!

Scene 8-Inside Kelly's, Jason and Steve are talking.

S: You gave the Quartermaine millions to work for Sonny?

J: Actually, a car accident helped me make that decision. How'd you know

Emily?

S: Used to live in Arizona. Em and I were neighbors and friends. Now,

what do you need to know?

Scene 9-Alan, Edward, and Lila are in the Quartermaine living room.

A: Have either of you seen Emily or Monica?

L: No my dear, I haven't seen Monica since she went to the Spencers'.

A: Well, maybe the two of them are just enjoying a day together.

E: Excuse me, but why isn't the girl in school?

A: Emily asked Monica and I if she could skip the rest of this year and

get a tutor over the summer to catch up. That's what we're going to do.

E: Ok, I guess I have no input in this matter.

A: No! You don't!

E: I guess, while you're here I should tell you what your ungrateful

sister has done now.

Scene 10-The Spencers; Luke, Laura, and Lucky.

Lucky: (To Luke.) He's your son?

Split to Wyndemere; Katherine, Stefan, and Alexis.

K: Nikolas is Luke Spencer's son?

S/Luke: Yes.

Scene 1-Tom and Angela are headed out of the hospital when they run into

Rick.

R: Tom, Angela. Tom, any word from Tony and Bobbie or Simone?

T: Actually, Simone left a message, she said she went out of town to a

former patient's funeral. Why she didn't tell anyone where she was going

is beyond.

R: It's good that someone has a clue where she is.

A: You know what, I think I need to go check on Ms. Barrett.

Scene 2-Brenda, Sonny, Lois, and Robin are in Julia's hospital room.

L: Hey, Bren, why don't you go home and get some rest?

B: No, if she wakes up...

Angela walks in.

R: Dr. Winters.

B: Um, doctor, when's she going to wake up?

A: We can't be sure about that. She has been through a tremendous

experience. It could be a while.

S: Could you have someone call us if she wakes up?

A: Sure.

S: Ok, Bren, we're going home and you're going to get some sleep.

Scene 3-Nikolas and Gina are at the nurses station.

N: Are Bobbie and Tony still missing?

G: Yeah. Have you run into Stefan recently?

N: No and I don't think I will anytime soon. Wanna get some coffee?

Scene 4-A big, muscular, tall, athletic man with dark hair and a

thirteen year old girl with long dark hair are at the airport.

Man: Well, we're here. Port Charles, New York.

Scene 5-The Quartermaine living room; Alan, Monica, Edward, Lila,

Justus, Ned, Lois, Emily, and A.J. are there.

A.J.: What's this about, grandfather?

Edward: Tracy's latest move.

Lois: Ugh.

N: Don't worry, she won't be back.

Alan: It appears that my dear sister has sold her stock.

M: To who?

Emily: What does this have to do with me?

J: Or me?

Edward: You're both staying!

N: My mother sold her stock to Scott Baldwin, who has transferred the

stock to Lucy Coe.

A.J.: Lucy's back on the ELQ board?

Edward: Yes.

J: I'd like to know what this has to do with me or Emily?

Edward: If you'd been here as ELQ counsel maybe this would have been

prevented. And Emily's here because of a proposal I'm going to make at

the next ELQ board meeting.

M: And what's that?

Edward: Preparing a trust of stock for Emily to receive when she's

eighteen.

Scene 6-Rick and Lesley are at their penthouse.

R: How are the wedding plans going?

L: Good. I talked to Laura about the date. She mentioned something about

the nurses ball coming up.

R: Yes, sometime next week, I believe.

L: Lucky's in some kind of act for this ball.

R: Well, then, we must go.

Scene 7-Jason is at Sonny's. Robin and Sonny are sitting on the couch.

Brenda's upstairs asleep.

J: How's her sister?

S: She still hasn't woke up.

J: Well, for Brenda's sake I hope it isn't like what happened to me.

R: I don't think it is.

S: So, what do you think of Steve?

Scene 8-Luke, Laura, Lucky are at the Spencers.

Lucky: Who else knows?

Luke: As far as we know, Stefan and Helena.

Lucky: What about my grandparents?

Luke: You can't tell them, not yet.

Lucky: So, I can't tell anyone?

Luke: To be safe, yes.

Scene 9-Stefan goes to the nurses station, Amy is there.

S: Amy, have you seen Nikolas?

A: Actually, Stefan, I don't recall seeing him today.

S: Thank you.

Tom comes.

T: Stefan.

S: Dr. Hardy. Have you seen my nephew?

T: Sorry, I haven't.

S: Thank you.

Stefan leaves.

T: Wonder why Mr. Cassadine is looking for his nephew?

A: Yeah, that's a very good question. Because, I know Nikolas has moved

into Kelly's, and wants nothing to do with his uncle.

Scene 10-Rick and Lesley are at their penthouse.

R: How long has it been, since we last danced?

L: Ffff... Well, I have no clue.

Rick turns on the radio, "Isn't it Romantic" by Ella Fitzgerald is

playing.

R: May I have this dance.

Rick and Lesley begin to dance.
