Part 116

Scene 1-The next morning, in the Port Charles Hotel lobby. Ned sits on a

couch, reading a newspaper. Alexis walks through, when she spots Ned.

A: Hello.

N: Ah, Ms. Davis. How are you?

A: Good, yourself?

N: Ok. I'd like to apologize for the other night.

A: It's perfectly alright.

N: What exactly happened?

A: You don't remember?

N: No.

A: You came upstairs with me, threw me to the bed and we made love.

N: (Stunned.) Uh...

A: (Laughs.) I'm only kidding. I drove you home in your car and got you

inside your house and called a cab to drive me back here.

N: Thank you.

A: No problem. By the way, what are you doing here?

Scene 2-Emily is in the GH gym with a physical therapist, working on

walking. She walks slow, but steady. Nikolas comes over.

N: Hey. You're doing pretty good.

E: Hi. Thanks. (Keeps walking, then gets to the wheel chair and stops to

sit.) I think it'll be awhile before I'll be able to walk like I used

to, but I'm glad that I didn't have a permanent injury. Nikolas, is

something wrong?

Scene 3-Jason returns to his room at Jake's.

Robin: Are you ok?

J: Sure, I'm fine. Something wrong?

R: I'm just worried. I didn't know where you were. I called Sonny and he

said you were ok and then he asked me if Pete was in the hall. I got a

little concerned.

J: It's just a precaution.

R: Are and Sonny and Brenda in danger?

Scene 4-Luke's standing on the docks, where the launch to Wyndemere is.

Stefan gets off.

S: Ah, Spencer. Just who I was expecting to see, but I really do have to

get to the hospital.

L: I think you could wait one second.

S: To listen to your dribble?

Scene 5-Ned and Alexis are in the lobby.

N: Well, I've moved out of the gatehouse into the hotel.

A: Oh, things any better?

N: Not much. Lois asked me to move out.

A: It could've been worse. She could've thrown all of your clothes out

on the lawn or something like that. So, when's your family announcing

the purchase of the team?

N: This afternoon. In fact, I have to meet with grandfather and Justus

before Justus goes to court. So, if you'll excuse me, I have to go.

A: Bye.

Ned leaves. Alexis picks up the paper he was reading and looks at it.

Jeff comes up from behind.

J: Anything interesting?

Scene 6-Lucky is running downstairs at the Spencers.

Lucky: Mom, have you seen my...

Laura stands at the bottom of the stairs holding his history book.

Laura: Here.

Lucky: Thanks. (Grabs it.) I'll be so glad when I can drive. Then, I

won't have to depend on the bus, which I'm going to miss if I don't

book.

Laura: Ok. Bye. (Lucky flies out the house.) Driving? Oh my, he's

almost sixteen. Where has the time gone?

Scene 7-Nikolas wheels Emily into her room. She gets in bed.

E: What is it?

N: Gina left.

E: What? Why? When?

N: She left, went to California. Her mother's pretty sick. She left last

night.

E: I'm sorry.

N: It was so sudden. I was out in the hall about to visit Amy and she

came up to me and told me she was leaving.

E: That's awful. (There's a knock on the door.) Come in.

Steve comes in.

S: Hey Em. I didn't mean to interrupt. Just wanted to check on you and

see how you were.

E: I'm good. I had a physical therapy session earlier today.

S: How'd that go?

E: Good.

S: Oh. I thought I'd tell you your cousin, Nicole decided to move into

the mansion.

E: Really? Wow. That's great.

S: Look, I'm sorry I interrupted. I've got to go. I've got class in

about 20 minutes.

E: Thanks for coming by. (Steve leaves.) So, what are you going to do

now?

N: I don't know. I don't think I could stand going back to that room at

Kelly's. Think your family would let me move in?

Emily laughs.

Scene 8-Luke and Stefan are at the docks.

L: Laura told me everything.

S: Of course, so what is your counter move Spencer?

L: I've had enough of this.

Luke pulls out a gun.

S: (Calm.) You're going to kill me? You'll be too easily caught.

L: Just try me.

Luke points the gun at Stefan.

Scene 9-Jeff and Alexis are in the lobby.

A: Nothing really.

J: Alexis, we have something we need to discuss.

A: Yes, we do.

J: Where do you want to discuss this?

A: We can go to my room.

J: You don't have anything to do today?

A: No.

J: Ok, then let's go.

Scene 10-Laura and Lesley are visiting Amy. Lesley puts her hand on

Laura's shoulder.

Lesley: She's going to be alright.

Laura: I hope so. I want her to constantly reassure me with her voice

that when Lucky gets his license he'll be alright.

Lesley: When's that?

Laura: Next month.

Lesley: I can't believe my grandsons are so old.

Paul comes in.

P: I don't mean to interrupt, but Dr. Winters wants to talk to you, she

has the specialist in her office.

Laura and Lesley leave. Paul stays. Amy looks at him and smiles.

Scene 1-Jeff and Alexis are in her room. They are both in bed with the

covers over them.

J: Scratch that discussion we were going to have.

A: What are you saying?

J: I'm willing to forgive and forget, are you?

Scene 2-Stefan and Luke are at the launch. Luke has a gun pointed at

Stefan.

L: No, killing you right here, right now, like this, would be too easy.

Plus, I won't be able to find out what I want. And, I'm pretty sure

you're the only one that can tell me what I want to know.

S: What exactly is that?

L: What the computer virus is capable of doing.

S: What computer virus? And if I did know, would you really believe that

I would tell you.

Scene 3-Laura and Lesley go into Angela's office.

A: Mrs. Spencer, Dr. Webber this is the specialist I was talking about.

Dr. Jeremy Erickson.

Laura: Hello Dr. Erickson.

J: Mrs. Spencer, Dr. Webber... Um, excuse me but you look awful familiar

Dr. Webber.

Lesley: I just have one of those faces.

J: No, I'm sure I've seen you somewhere before. Oh well, anyway, we are

here to discuss the patient's condition.

Scene 4-In court; Carly, Justus, Dara sit in front. A.J. and Monica are

sit behind. Mac and Felicia are behind them.

A: Mom, how's Em?

Monica: She's doing good. She had her first physical therapy session

today.

A: How'd it go?

Monica: I don't know. I didn't get to see her this morning. I had to

give your father a pep talk, today is his first day of surgery.

Carly turns to A.J. and Monica.

C: Monica, thank you for being here.

Monica: You're welcome. I know your mother would be here with you.

C: (Look of guilt on her face.) Yeah.

The judge comes out.

Bailiff: All rise...

Scene 5-Lila is in a bedroom at the Quartermaine mansion, looking

around.

L: Perfect.

Reginald comes to the door.

R: Excuse me, Mrs. Quartermaine.

L: Yes, Reginald.

R: Ms. Nicole is here.

Nicole comes in.

L: Hello my dear. This is your room.

N: Wow! This is incredible. I love it! Thank you Lila.

L: Call me grandmother.

N: Thank you grandmother.

Ned is at the door, watching Lila show Nicole all the features. Ned

smiles at the sight of the two getting along. Then, he silently leaves.

Scene 6-At the lighthouse, Lucy is at the door waiting for Serena.

L: Come on Serena, you're late!

Serena comes out of her room, looking ill.

S: Lucy, I don't feel good.

L: What is it sweetie?

S: My side hurts.

L: Where? (Serena shows her.) Doc! Come down here.

K: I'll be down there in a minute.

Scene 7-Luke and Stefan are on the docks.

L: Oh, I know you'll tell.

Luke puts the gun away. Luke pulls out a baggy with a syringe in it.

S: What is that?

L: Truth syrum.

Scene 8-Alexis and Jeff in a hotel room. Alexis gets dressed.

J: So, do you forgive me Allie?

A: Woo. I haven't had anyone call me that in a long time.

Jeff stands behind Alexis, nibbling on her ear.

J: Do you like it?

A: (Swept up in the moment.) I like it, Jeff. I forgive you! (Jeff

starts to take off the clothes Alexis was just putting on.) Jeff.

J: I love you Allie.

They kiss.

Scene 9-In court; Felicia is on the stand, Justus is questioning her.

J: Mrs. Jones, you are an unofficial member of the Port Charles Police

Department, is that correct?

F: Yes.

J: And how did this come about?

F: I was hired to do some PI work for the police department after Pierce

Dorman's murder.

J: Ok. And you were one of the people who examined the crime scene?

F: Yes.

J: Can you tell me any abnormalities you may have found at the crime

scene?

F: Sure. Upon examining the deceased's apartment, I examined the bullet

holes that were present on the wall. After examining these, I realized

that they had been fired from several different guns.

J: How many different guns could have possibly been used?

F: According to ballistics reports there were three different guns, only

one matched the bullet wound of the deceased.

J: Thank you. No further questions.

Scene 10-At the lighthouse, Kevin comes downstairs.

K: What is it?

Lucy: Serena isn't feeling well.

K: Serena, can you show me where it hurts? (Serena shows. Kevin touches

the area. Serena screams in pain.) Lucy, I think we should take her to

the hospital.

S: What?

K: I think you have appendicitis.

L: Oh God. I've got to call Scott, Gail and Lee.

K: Lucy, we need to get to the hospital, call them from your cell phone.

They leave.

Part 118

Scene 1-Luke and Stefan are on the docks. Luke grabs Stefan's wrist

quickly and injects him. Stefan falls slowly.

L: It's sodium penthanol.

Luke rolls him to the car. Jason gets out of the car and helps him put

Stefan in the trunk.

Scene 2-In court, Mac is on the stand. Justus is questioning him.

J: In Ms. Benson's confession, is it true that she said she closed her

eyes before shooting?

M: Yes, that's what she said.

J: In your mind, would you say it's possible she could have missed?

M: Yes, I'd say that it's very possible. Considering her limited

background with guns and the fact that she was not looking at her

target. I'd say that it's very unlikely that the bullet she fired was

the one that killed Pierce Dorman.

J: Thank you.

Scene 3-Angela and Dr. Boardman have all of the interns and Alan

gathered in the on-call room.

Angela: Doctors Scanlon, Wexler, Quartermaine and Morris you'll be with

me.

B: And the rest of you will be with me.

Dr. Boardman, Angela and Alan leave the room, the others stay put.

Angela comes back in.

Angela: Ten minutes.

Angela walks back out.

Eve: Karen, Joe, Julie; how'd you swing getting in Winters' group?

K: Pure luck.

Joe: I'm so glad we don't have to deal with Boardman.

Julie: Join the club.

Chris: Ah, I don't think he's all that bad.

E: That's because your lips are too close to his butt.

Matt: Now, that was a good one.

Jake: Hey guys, maybe we should go, before we get our heads bit off.

Joe: Good luck.

Eve, Matt, Jake, and Chris leave.

Julie: How DID we get so lucky?

Joe: Oh, I don't know if we are lucky. Dr. Quartermaine is going to be

there also, looking over our shoulders every step of the way.

K: Yeah, but he's going through the same thing as we are.

Joe: But none of us used to be chief of staff or have a wife who is a

surgeon in high standing at this hospital, do we?

Julie: (Laughs.) No, unless you got married recently and neglected to

tell us.

Joe: Very funny.

They walk out and join Alan and Angela.

Scene 4-Lucky goes to Emily's room.

L: Hey Em. How ya doing?

E: Good. Shouldn't you be in class?

L: I'm on lunch break. I'm sorry I haven't been by recently. Things have

been hectic.

E: It's ok Lucky. I found out I'm getting out in a couple days.

L: Wow! That's great.

Lucky grabs her hand.

Scene 5-Laura and Lesley are walking down the hall at GH.

Lesley: That's great news about Amy.

Laura: I just hope Dr. Erickson is right.

Lesley: If he is a specialist and he believes this is a temporary

condition, I'm sure his diagnosis is correct.

Laura: Did you recognize him, because it sure seemed like he recognized

you?

Lesley: No, honestly, I didn't.

Laura: That's strange. Well, since we're going by, how about we stop in

and visit Emily. (Go in.) Lucky!

Scene 6-Luke and Jason have Stefan locked up in a dark room. Stefan is

out cold. They tie him to a chair.

J: We're just going to leave him here?

L: Yeah, for now. Um, thanks Jase, for the idea about the drug.

J: It's just one of those things in my head that I can't do anything

about.

L: Hey, I'm grateful for that.

Sonny comes in.

S: Taken care of?

J: Yeah.

S: Luke, this is a crazy idea.

L: (Lights cigar, laughing.) Yeah. (Takes a puff.) But we're never going

to survive unless we get a little crazy.

S: Where'd you hear that? A song? (Luke laughs.) Well, I got two of my

guys taking turns on the door.

They walk out.

Scene 7-Carly, Justus, A.J. and Monica are in court, after it is over

for the day.

J: I think this is a good sign.

C: I'm glad. Do you think I'll still have to get up on the stand?

J: Yes, that's what is going to shoot this whole case down. Hopefully,

it will erase the jury's minds of your confession.

M: I have to leave. I'm going to go by the hospital and check on Emily.

A: Ok. Tell her I'll be by some time.

C: Monica, thanks for coming.

M: You're welcome.

Monica leaves.

J: Well, I have to go. Ned and Edward want me present at a press

conference they're holding.

A: Ok. Thanks Justus. (Justus leaves.) Well, Jason said that someone

would meet us in the stairwell in about fifteen minutes. Um, how would

you like to go on the date we talked about so long ago?

Scene 8-Angela, Alan, Joe, Karen, and Julie are on their surgical

rounds.

Angela: Ok, Dr. Wexler, you're first up. It's an appendectomy. The rest

of you go up to the observation area.

They leave. Angela and Karen scrub up and go in to the OR. Karen sees

Serena.

K: Dr. Winters, I can't.

Angela: Why not?

K: That's my little sister.

Scene 9-Lucy and Kevin are sitting in the waiting room.

L: I can't believe this is happening. (Looks at watch.) When's Scott

going to get his little butt here?

K: Lucy, he's on his way. He'll be here as soon as he can. In the

meantime, keep in mind, that an appendectomy is a fairly routine

procedure. Serena will be alright.

L: Yeah, doc, but things can still go wrong, can't they?

Kevin is silent. Gail and Lee come in.

Lee: What's wrong with Serena?

K: It's her appendix, it ruptured. They've taken her to surgery to have

it removed.

Scene 10-Laura, Lesley, and Lucky are in Emily's hospital room.

Laura: Shouldn't you be at school, Lucky?

Lucky: It's lunch time. (Looks at clock on wall.) Actually, I should be

heading back.

Lucky kisses Emily on the cheek and waves goodbye.

E: Hi Mrs. Spencer.

Laura: You've known me too long to keep calling me Mrs. Spencer every

time we talk. Please, call me Laura.

E: Ok, Laura. And hello Dr. Webber.

Lesley: Hello.

Laura: We just came by to see how you're doing.

E: I'm doing pretty good. I get out of here in a couple of days.

Laura: That's terrific.

E: How's Amy?

Lesley: Things are looking up for her, too.
