10/21/97-Part 142

Scene 1-Karen and Joe are in the on-call room.

K: Is it me or is this an extremely long day?

J: It's an extremely long day, with absolutely no end in sight.

K: Actually, there is an end. In about twenty minutes, I meet with my

grandfather to discuss my divorcing Jagger.

J: Oh.

K: But after that, I'm free, if you want to go get a beer or something.

J: Are you sure?

K: Actually, I probably ought to take up my mother up on her dinner

invitation, she thinks I don't get enough to eat.

Scene 2-Kevin and Lucy are having dinner at The Outback.

L: You know the next person we need to tell is Serena.

K: Of course.

L: I think she's spending the weekend with Gail and Lee. After dinner,

we'll head right over there. Ok?

K: Sure.

Scene 3-Amy goes to the Spencers. Lucky and Lu are there alone.

A: Where's your mom?

L: She and Nickolas went to visit dad. I'm baby-sitting.

A: Oh, I was hoping to talk to her.

L: About what?

A: My date tonight.

L: Date? With who?

A: Yes, believe it or not, your aunt Amy does date. It's with Paul

Simmons.

L: They should be back shortly. Can you stick around?

A: Sure.

L: Good. Would you watch Lu?

A: I guess.

Lucky gets his coat and puts it on.

L: Thanks.

Lucky kisses Amy on the cheek and leaves.

A: Hmmm...

Lesley catches Lucky as he heads out.

Lesley: Wait mister.

Lucky: Um, grandma, I was just headed to the convient store, to...um,

get some milk.

Lesley: Sure. Well, I just thought you might say hi to me.

Lucky: Oh, I'm sorry, hi. Amy's inside with Lu, I'll be back in about 30

minutes.

Lucky leaves.

Scene 4-Garcia and Darrell Johnson are at their desks at the PCPD.

D: So, it was a mob hit, case closed.

G: I don't think Dara Jenson or Mac will settle for that. I think they

want this person and this organization locked up.

D: How do you suggest we go about that?

Scene 5-Mike is standing at the bar at Luke's, he thinks back to when

Luke first hired him and he saw Sonny. He laughs. Then, a tear streams

down his face.

M: Oh, Michael, why did this have to happen?

Scene 6-Rhonda and Karen are at Rhonda's, eating dinner.

R: So, you're ok?

K: Yeah, I'm fine. Everything's good.

R: Are you sure?

K: Actually, no. I think I've just kind of shut off emotionally.

R: Why do you think that?

K: I had to at the hospital and I practically live there.

R: Honey, you can let it out here.

Rhonda and Karen go to the couch and sit down on it. Karen grabs on to

her mom tight and lets the tears flow.

K: Thanks. (There's a knock at the door.) You better get that. (Starts

to wipe away her tears.)

Rhonda opens the door to Scott.

Scene 7-Gail opens her front door to Kevin and Lucy.

G: This is a nice surprise.

L: We came to see Serena.

G: Sure, let me go get her. She was playing with her doll house.

Gail goes and brings Serena back.

S: Kevin, Lucy, what are you two doing here?

L: We've got something BIG to tell you.

S: What is it?

Scene 8-Laura and Nick go in the house.

L: Lucky! We're home.

Amy: He's not here.

L: What?!?

Lesley: He said he had to go to the convient store to get some milk.

Laura: Why that little...

Lesley: Is something wrong?

Laura: Yes, he was grounded.

Lesley: Why?

N: Uh, Alan and Monica caught him in the act...

Lesley: Oh.

Scene 9-Lucky is at the Quartermaine boathouse, he is staring out at the

lake. Emily sees him and comes up behind. She hugs him.

L: What did they say?

E: I'm grounded for a week and forbidden to see you.

L: I'm grounded for two weeks and forbidden to see you.

E: I was amazed that they let me out. I told them I was going to walk

through the rose garden. I think they were preoccupied with Alan's

strange behavior. How'd you get out?

L: I tricked my grandma and Amy, but I guarantee you that I'll be in a

load of trouble when I get home.

E: What're we going to do?

L: Run away?

E: No, I don't think that would be the best idea.

L: Let me know if you have a better one. I got to jet- you know where

we'll meet next time.

E: School?

L: Exactly...how stupid are our parents?

E: Well, that's if Alan and Monica don't ship me off to boarding school.

L: Love you.

Lucky kisses Emily and runs off.

E: I love you, too.

Scene 10-A.J. and Carly are by the lake on the Quartermaine estate.

C: I can see why Emily and Lucky like it down here.

A: Yeah, it's so peaceful.

C: I think it's my favorite place here.

A: I'm partial to the gym.

C: Why's that?

A: I can forget all my problems and get away from the family.

C: You can do that here, too.

A: (Moves closer, brushes back a piece of hair and looks deep in her

eyes.) Yeah, I guess you could.

A.J. kisses her.

Scene 1-Scott, Rhonda, and Karen are at Rhonda's.

S: Um, I take it things aren't too great.

K: No.

S: I'm sorry.

Scott hugs Karen. Rhonda looks on, as Scott and Karen embrace.

Scene 2-Lucy, Kevin, Serena, and Gail are at Gail and Lee's house.

L: Serena, Kevin and I are getting married.

S: That's terrific!

Serena hugs Lucy.

K: Hey, what about me?

Serena hugs Kevin.

G: Well, congratulations.

L: Thanks Gail.

S: So, when are you getting married?

K: Well...

Scene 3-Laura is waiting in the living room. Lucky comes running in with

a carton of milk.

Laura: Lucky.

Lucky: Hi mom. Did grandma tell you I went out to get some milk?

Laura: Well, I see you got it, but we already had two cartons of milk in

the refrigerator and they haven't expired, either.

Lucky: Oh really, I didn't realize it.

Lucky walks in the kitchen.

Laura: Lucky!

Scene 4-Carly is in the Quartermaine guest room, what Stefan told her is

running through her head.

C: How could Cassadine have found out about my connection to Dorman?

A.J. can't find out.

Carly begins to imagine what would happen if A.J. found out.

>AJ's throwing all of Carly's bags and her clothes out on the lawn.

A: You bitch, get out of my life! You were probably sleeping with him

weren't you? Everything was hoax, you were in on it all the whole time.

You're a whore, just like your mother!<

Carly shakes her head.

C: No, I can't let him find out, it would ruin everything.

Scene 5-At the gatehouse, Lois hangs up the phone. Ned comes downstairs.

N: Who was it?

L: Bren. She, Jason and Robin are coming back in a few days.

N: That's great.

L: Yeah. She said Jason's curious to see how the investigation into

Sonny's murder is going. Robin said she had a surprise.

N: I wonder what that is.

Scene 6-Serena, Lucy, Kevin, and Gail are at Gail and Lee's.

K: We hadn't set a date.

L: But, I have a big favor to ask Serena.

S: What?

L: How would you like to be a flower girl?

S: Oh, I'd love to!

L: Terrific, it's set then. It's getting late, you probably should be

headed to bed.

G: Yes.

S: Bye.

Serena hugs Lucy.

L: Bye-bye Serena.

Kevin and Lucy leave. Standing outside the door, Lucy cries.

K: What's wrong?

L: Nothing, everything's perfect.

Scene 7-Lucky puts the carton of milk in the refrigerator. Laura follows

him.

Lucky: Mom, I know I'm in trouble, but I'm tired and I'm going to bed.

Laura: Ok, good idea. You might get a re-trial on your punishment

tomorrow anyhow, when your father comes home. That doesn't mean you're

not in trouble.

Scene 8-Mac and Felicia close up The Outback.

M: What do you think about Kevin and Lucy getting married?

F: It's great. They deserve to be happy.

M: So do you.

F: That's why I'm leaving for Texas tomorrow. I want to see the girls.

Scene 9-Lesley is asleep at the penthouse, when someone tickles her

foot. She wakes, giggling. She turns on the light.

L: It's you.

Scene 10-Ned and Lois are on the couch.

N: You know I'm glad you forgave me.

L: You know why I forgave you? The song. When you sang at Jason and

Robin's wedding, I knew you meant it.

N: Yes. You are the only one I love.

L: Ned, what do you think about asking Nicole to move down here with us?

N: I'm not sure she'd go for it. She still resents both Angela and me

for lying to her.

L: I know, but I think it might be good for her to get out of the big

house.

N: You have a good idea. I'm not sure it's good for her to be up there,

especially when she can be somewhere else.

L: It's just a suggestion.

N: I'll discuss with her tomorrow.

Ned kisses Lois, and smiles. Lois smiles back at him.

L: You're the only one I love.

Scene 1-The next day, Jax and Julia have breakfast at the Port Charles

Grill.

Julia: Brenda called last night.

Jax: Really, what did she have to say?

Julia: She's coming home in a few days. Is something wrong?

Jax: Besides Baldwin and Cassadine, no.

Julia: What's wrong?

Scene 2-Rex and Katherine have a meeting at Rex's.

K: What's next?

R: Oh my dear niece, you've done your part.

K: What if she asks for proof?

R: If Dr. Morris asks for proof, all she needs to do is look at the

birth certificate I slid into her files.

K: What about Alan?

R: Don't worry about Dr. Quartermaine, I'll be taking care of that part,

trust me.

Scene 3-Frank and Joe are in the kitchen.

J: So, what's going on with you and Julie?

F: Nothing out of the ordinary.

J: That's not what Amy told me. She said the two of you were acting

rather peculiar the other night.

F: Well, you know Amy, gossipy soul.

Eve comes upstairs.

E: Good morning boys.

F: Eve. If you'll excuse me, I have to go.

Frank leaves.

J: Do you know what's going on?

Scene 4-Carly, A.J., Ned, Lois, Brooke, Monica, Alan, Justus, Nicole,

Lila, and Edward are eating breakfast.

E: Reginald got Emily off alright?

M: Yes.

Nicole: Where'd she go?

M: Some kind of writing workshop for school.

Ned: Emily wants to be a writer?

Alan: Yeah. I didn't know that until she said she was going to this

thing. The things we don't know about our own children.

Lila: Well, I'm glad she has taken a step towards a career.

Ned: Nicole, can I talk to you out in the hallway for a minute?

Ned and Nicole head out to the hall.

E: What's that about?

Scene 5-Nicole and Ned are in the hall.

Ned: Um, Lois and I had an idea. We wondered if you'd like to live down

at the gatehouse.

Scene 6-Jax and Julia are at the Port Charles Grill.

Jax: Baldwin's in the process of blackmailing me. And Cassadine, he's

yanking me around on the building proposal.

Julia: What does Scott have on you?

Jax: A connection to Tracy Quartermaine I once had.

Julia: A connection?

Jax: We were working on destroying ELQ and now she's supposedly the

"Godmother."

Julia: (Laughs.) Like the "Godfather"? I guess there's only one thing to

do.

Scene 7-Joe and Eve are in the kitchen.

E: Promise you won't tell anyone I told you?

J: Promise.

E: Julie got some news about her father.

J: What?

There is a knock at the door.

Scene 8-Nicole and Ned are in the hall.

Nicole: Why? I like it here.

Ned: I'd like to get to know you. I was hoping you could eventually

forgive me and your mother.

Nicole: Would I have my own room?

Ned: Sure.

Nicole: What about grandmother? I know she enjoyed having me here and I

enjoyed being here with her.

Ned: You can still do that. What do you say?

Nicole: Sure.

Scene 9-Jax and Julia are at the Port Charles Grill.

Jax: What?

Julia: Dig up some dirt.

Jax: Ok. Do you have some dirt on Scott?

Julia: No. What about Stefan Cassadine?

Jax: I have a few things I intend on using on him.

Julia: Really? (Looks at her watch.) I have to get to that meeting with

the people from Epco.

Jax: I'll see you later.

Scene 10-Joe, Eve, and Karen are in the kitchen.

K: Hi.

J: What brings you by?

K: I have some news, it's pretty shocking.

Scene 1-Karen, Eve, and Joe are in the kitchen.

J: Spill it.

K: I just heard that Boardman's being sued for malpractice.

E: You're kidding?

K: No. Matt called me, he said they're calling a meeting for all the

interns.

J: You know what this means?

K: He's going to be replaced.

E: Question is by whom?

Scene 2-Jax goes to GH to meet Stefan.

S: Mr. Jacks, what can I do for you?

J: Let me build my building on the land I proposed.

S: That's a city council matter.

J: You're on the council.

S: Yes, but I don't make every decision.

J: But you have the clout to do so.

S: Why would I do that for you?

J: I have some fascinating information on your family.

Scene 3-Mac and Felicia are at the airport.

>Intercom: Flight 665 is now boarding at Gate twenty-five.<

F: That's my flight.

M: I guess this is it.

F: Yes, and hopefully, when I come back, I'll have the girls with me.

(Mac hugs her. They break the hug. She looks at his eyes and begins to

cry.) I'll be back, I promise.

M: I love you.

F: Good bye.

Felicia heads off and turns to wave goodbye.

Scene 4-Luke and Laura are walking out of GH, when Amy stops them.

A: Woh! Hospital policy says you're supposed to be wheeled out by

hospital personnel.

Luke: Amy, I'm fine. Dr. Winters said so. Why do I need a wheelchair?

A: Look, would you like for Tom or Stefan to chew me out.

Luke: Ok, I'll spare you that. Everyone knows Stef-yawn's tiresome

speeches can put you to sleep. That's not a good thing for someone who's

dealing with sick people, they might die on you or something.

A: Ok, (Pulls a wheelchair over to Luke.) get in.

Luke sits. Laura and Amy wheel him out to the car.

Luke: Thanks for the ride Amy, it was fun.

A: Anytime. Laura, we'll have to get together sometime for lunch or

something.

Laura: Yes, I want to hear all about your date with Paul.

A: Ok, I'll see you guys later.

Amy leaves.

Luke: Paul? The guy that hit her? That put her in the hospital? That

guy?

Scene 5-Lesley lays in bed with a handsome gentleman in his fifties.

L: Charlie, I can't believe you're here. It's been so long.

Charlie: Too long.

L: I should have known it was you. Why the different name?

C: I had to go into the Witness Protection program after I testified in

a mob murder trial. (Kisses Lesley.) Last night was great.

L: Charlie, I hate to tell you this, but that can't happen again. I'm a

married woman.

C: I know.

L: In fact, Rick should be home in a few hours.

C: That'll give us a few hours to catch up.

Charlie starts to kiss Lesley going down her neck, she tries to stop,

but he continues and she stops fighting.

Scene 6-Scott goes to pick up Serena. Lee answers the door.

L: Serena's almost ready. How're you?

Scott: I'm good.

L: That's good to hear.

Serena comes running and gives Scott a hug.

Serena: Oh daddy, I had so much fun. Kevin and Lucy came for a visit,

too.

Scott: Kevin and Lucy?

Serena: Yes.

Scott: Why'd they come over?

Scene 7-All the interns are gathered in the on-call room; Ellen, Alan,

and Tom are present.

Ellen: As you all may have heard Dr. Boardman's being sued for

malpractice. Since this is happening, Dr. Hardy saw fit for a

replacement. Dr. Hardy.

T: Dr. Boardman's being replaced as chief surgical resident by Dr. Alan

Quartermaine.

Julie looks shocked. Eve looks over at her and is about to laugh. Chris

notices. Joe and Karen smile in relief.

Jake: Thank God we're rid of Boardman.

A: Ah, let me reassure you that working for me will be no piece of cake,

either. I expect 125 percent out of everyone. I do mean everyone!

Scene 8-Stefan and Jax are in Stefan's office.

S: And what is that?

J: That my wife, my first wife, was your cousin, Marlena Davis, Alexis'

sister. You knew that. You were also partially responsible for her

death.

S: You have no proof.

J: I have a diary passage stating that Marlena/Miranda gave you her

Cassadine medallion when she ran away. And, she hadn't had any contact

with you prior to her death.

S: So, this is blackmail?

J: Actually, I'd like to call it "Let's Make A Deal."

Scene 9-Luke and Laura come home.

Luke: Lucky, get your sorry butt down here.

Lucky comes thumping down the stairs. Lucky hugs his dad.

Lucky: Good to have ya back.

Luke: Yeah. Where are the siblings?

Lucky: Nick went down to Kelly's to help Ruby out. Lulu's upstairs

taking a nap.

Laura: I'll go check on her.

Laura goes upstairs.

Luke: I guess that means it's time for our man-to-man talk.

Scene 10-Scott, Serena, and Lee are at Lee and Gail's.

Serena: They came to tell me they are getting married.

Scott: Kevin and Lucy are getting married?

Lee: Yes, Gail mentioned it to me.

Serena: Yeah. Lucy even asked me to be flower girl. Isn't that cool

daddy?

Scene 1-Stefan and Jax are in Stefan's office.

S: Ok, what is the deal?

J: You push the building proposal through and I don't take this to the

press.

S: Alright. I have a deal to propose for you because I'm aware of your

difficulties with Mr. Baldwin.

J: You are? What can you do?

Scene 2-Lucky and Luke are at the Spencers.

Luke: ...Ok, so I have taught you well.

Lucky: (Smiles.) Yeah.

Luke: The last thing, don't pressure her.

Lucky: I swear I'm not and I never would.

Luke: Good. I think we've covered all of the basics. Now, I hope you'll

do the right thing.

Scene 3-Lesley and Charlie are in bed.

L: Ok, we really have to stop, Rick will be here soon.

C: (Getting dressed.) By the way, how's Amy?

L: Good Dr. Erickson. You know, I think Dr. Jeremy Erickson is a move up

from Dr. Charles Judd.

Jeremy/Charlie: Yeah. I was always being asked about Wynonna and Naomi.

Lesley laughs. All of the sudden, the front door can be heard opening.

Rick: Lesley, I'm home!

L: (Whispering to Jeremy.) Oh no. You have to hide.

Scene 4-Monica stops Alan in the hall at GH.

M: How are things going?

A: Um, good, I'm very busy. I'll see you later, ok?

M: Sure.

Alan leaves. Karen is walking by and stops.

K: Hi Dr. Quartermaine.

M: Hello.

K: Have you seen Alan?

M: He just went by.

K: Thanks, maybe I can catch him.

Karen starts to walk off, but Monica stops her.

M: Wait. Is it something important?

K: No, it not anything important. Why?

M: Do you have a few minutes?

Scene 5-Kevin and Lucy go to The Outback.

Mac: Well, if it isn't my favorite couple.

L: Hi.

K: So, where's your partner?

Mac seats them.

M: In Texas with the girls.

L: For how long?

M: I don't know.

Scott walks in and over to the table.

S: I understand congratulations are in order.

Scene 6-Jax and Stefan are in Stefan's office.

S: I'll buy your ELQ stock for twice the market value. Baldwin can't

blackmail you out of the company. And, Edward will still have a thorn in

his side.

J: It sounds very interesting. How long can I have to consider it?

S: Two hours or my deal is off the table.

J: Then, the same goes for mine.

S: Alright.

Scene 7-Rick opens the bedroom door at the penthouse, to find Lesley

sprawled out on the bed in her night gown.

R: I see you were ready for my return.

L: Yes.

R: I'm glad to see you, too.

Rick takes off his shoes, tie, and jacket. He lies on the bed next to

Lesley and kisses her.

L: I missed you.

R: I missed you, too.

Charlie/Jeremy's underneath the bed.

Scene 8-Monica and Karen are in the hall at GH.

M: I just wanted to know how your internship is going.

K: Good. I should be back on surgical rotation soon. My shoulder is all

healed up.

M: So, how's life in general?

K: That's the down side.

M: What's wrong? Um, I don't mean to pry, but if you need an ear, I'm

here.

K: Jagger and I are getting a divorce.

M: Oh Karen, I'm sorry.

>Intercom: Dr. Wexler to ER, Dr. Wexler to ER stat.<

K: I've gotta go.

M: I hope everything turns out alright.

Karen runs off.

Scene 9-Mac, Kevin, Lucy, and Scott are at The Outback.

L: Yes. Um, I meant to tell you sooner.

S: Congratulations. (Shakes Kevin's hand.) Mac, a round of drinks for

everyone!

Scene 10-Rick and Lesley are in bed, under the sheets, making love.

Underneath the bed, Charlie/Jeremy squirms around.

10/28/97-Part 147

Scene 1-Laura goes downstairs, where Luke's at the table.

Laura: How'd your talk with Lucky go?

Luke: Good. We talked everything out, and I told him what I hope he

does. But, he's going to make his own decisions. So, I rescinded his

punishment. (Nick comes in.) Hello Nick. How's everything at Kelly's?

Nick: Not too bad. I'll have to go in tomorrow, Ruby isn't feeling

well.

Laura: Hmmm... she's ok, though?

N: She thinks she's coming down with the flu. If you'll excuse me, I

have a test I have to study for.

Laura: Ok. (Nick goes upstairs.) I wonder if Gina's ever going to come

back. He sure misses her.

Scene 2-Carly comes in the Quartermaine entry. A.J. greets her.

A: How was your first day back at work?

C: Good.

A: I'm glad to hear that. Now, Ms. Caroline Benson, I'm inviting you to

the Halloween party Friday night at the Versailles Room, and I'm not

taking no for answer.

C: Well, then, what can I say.

A: It's a date, then.

Scene 3-Stefan and Jax meet up again at Stefan's office.

S: I guess this means you've made a decision then.

J: Yes, I'll take your deal. You?

S: I'll take your deal.

J: Good. Here's the ELQ certificate and here's an agreement for pushing

the proposed building through.

Stefan signs it. Jax and Stefan shake hands.

Scene 4-Rick and Lesley are in bed. Rick kisses her. He turns and looks

at the clock. Charlie/Jeremy's still underneath the bed.

R: Lesley, I'm sorry. I hate to make love and run, but I have an

appointment with that specialist Angela brought in on Amy's case, Dr.

Erickson. Tom said he's going to be sticking around and he thought he

might give some seminars to the interns.

L: Really?

R: Yes.

Scene 5-Monica runs into Karen and Joe.

J: Dr. Quartermaine.

M: Karen, did you ever find Alan?

K: Yeah, I did.

M: So, you got everything taken care of?

K: Yes.

M: Do you have any idea where he is now?

K: I think he said he was going to his office.

M: Thanks.

Monica leaves.

J: Done for the day?

K: Yeah.

J: How do you feel about going to the Recovery Room for a drink?

K: Sounds good.

Scene 6-Jax goes in the Port Charles Grill and sees Julia and goes to

her. Julia is going through some paper work.

Jax: Ah, working this time of night?

Julia: Oh Jax. Did you figure your problems out?

Jax: Cassadine and I worked them both out.

Julia: What, did he have something on Scott?

Jax: No, but he bought my ELQ stock, so I don't have to worry about it.

Julia: I bet Edward will love that.

Jax: I'm sure it will drive all of the Quartermaines nuts.

Julia: So, there was a method to your madness?

Jax: Yes. (Opens his briefcase and pulls out an invitation.) Have you

seen this?

Julia: No.

Jax: Well, here you go. You better find a costume.

Scene 7-Jeremy is hurrying around the bedroom at the Webbers, trying to

get his clothes on.

L: How come you didn't tell me you were staying?

J: Uh, must have slipped my mind. Well, I've got a meeting with your

husband that I can't miss.

Jeremy runs out.

Scene 8-Rex and Katherine are in the parking garage at GH.

K: You want me to do what?

R: Follow Monica Quartermaine with that recorder.

K: Why?

R: Just do it.

K: And what do I do when someone asks me why I'm there.

R: Tell them you're visiting a sick friend, make something up. (Pinches

Kath's cheeks.) Come on you're clever, and I have a feeling Damian Smith

taught you something. Now go.

Scene 9-Katherine goes to Monica's office and hides the recorder in a

drawer, as the janitor opens the door she ducks. He takes the trash and

dumps it. He puts the trash can back and leaves.

K: Fwww... this hopefully will be easier than following her around all

over the place.

She quietly and undetectably leaves.

Scene 10-Monica goes to Alan's office.

M: Ready to go home?

A: No, actually, I have a stack of paperwork here that I have to get

through. I don't know when I'll be home. Go to bed without me.

Monica walks out. Monica bumps into Rick in the hall.

R: Monica.

M: Back from Florida?

R: Yeah. And, Tom has me meeting with some doctor who is running late.

M: Then you have a few minutes to tell me about it. Let's go to my

office. (Rick and Monica go to Monica's office.) So, how was the trip?

R: Not the same without you.

M: Yeah, the last twelve years, I always looked forward to that trip,

the one chance in the year to escape the world.

R: I know.
