Part 182

Scene 1-The next morning, at the Spencers; Tony, Luke, Laura, and Bobbie

are there.

Luke: Little sister, do you really think you should do this?

Tony: He's right, remember how everyone took it when Laura reappeared?

Bobbie: I have to. My best friends' son could DIE! And, MY daughter's

there and she's very upset about this, I HAVE to go, I at least have to

be there for her.

Laura: You shouldn't go alone.

Luke: I'll go with you.

Bobbie and Luke leave.

Tony: This is all going to blow up, isn't it?

Scene 2-Robert and Anna go crashing into an abandon house.

Robert: Ok, Cassadine, come out.

Anna searches everywhere. Roberts looks on the main floor. They both

return with no Stefan in sight.

Anna: He's gone.

Robert: Somebody must have tipped him off.

Anna: Who?

Scene 3-Helena and Darrell are at Wyndemere.

Helena: The Scorpios thought they could catch us, but they can't.

Darrell: So, your plan is on track?

Helena: Yes, it is. And the great thing about this is no one will expect

this to turn out like this.

They laugh.

Scene 4-Jason checks on Brenda at Kelly's.

Jason: You're ok?

Brenda: Yeah, I'm fine. But, a little worried about Carly, she never

came back last night.

Jason: Where did she go?

Brenda: The Quartermaines' for the party. Remember you sent a car for

her. Well, she never came back.

Jason's cell phone rings. He gets it out of his pocket.

Robin: Jason, A.J. was taken to the hospital last night. Johnny called

and said he was there waiting for Carly. I called the hospital to see

what was wrong with A.J., and they told me he was brought in with some

kind of heart problem.

Jason: I should probably go there, to see if Carly needs anything.

Robin: I was going to head over there to see how things were with A.J.

Jason: I'll see you there.

Brenda: You'll see who, where?

Jason: Robin, at the hospital.

Brenda: What's wrong?

Jason: A.J. was taken in last night with some kind of heart problem. I'm

going to the hospital.

Brenda: I'm going with you.

Scene 5-Robert and Anna are in the abandon house.

Robert: There's got to be a leak. I don't know who, but from now on, we

can't let anyone know what's going on.

Anna: No one.

Scene 6-Jason and Brenda are at Kelly's.

Jason: Are you really sure you wanna go to the hospital?

Brenda: Jason, I'll be fine. It doesn't matter where I am, I always

think of the last time Sonny and I were together.

Jason and Brenda walk out.

Scene 7-Lucy and Kevin are in bed.

Lucy: Oh doc, do you really have to leave?

Kevin: I have an appointment with Tom in thirty minutes. If I want to

get reinstated at the hospital, I have to show up for this.

Lucy: Ok, well, good luck.

Lucy kisses Kevin. He kisses her. There are more exchanges, until Kevin

finally breaks from Lucy.

Kevin: (Excited.) I'll be back as soon as I can.

Lucy: (Seductive.) I'll be waiting.

Scene 8-Scott goes to Lee's office.

Lee: Scott, this is a surprise. What are you doing here?

Scott: Have you heard about A.J. Quartermaine?

Lee: Yes. Why?

Scott: I came to see how the CEO of ELQ was doing, and no one will give

me a clue. They say that information is confidential and family only. I

was hoping to find out more.

Lee: And, you thought I could help?

Scott: Yes.

Lee: I haven't heard anything, sorry. But, you know what you could do?

Scott: What?

Lee: Go to the waiting room and find the family and ask them.

Scene 9-Rex and Katherine are at the Port Charles Grill.

Katherine: So, what's your latest scheme?

Rex: With Alan, Jr. in the hospital, I think it's time to make our

attack.

Katherine: How?

Rex: Jake will force Julie to reveal herself and I'll be pursuing some

stock owned by someone outside of the Q clan.

Katherine: How are you going to get anyone to sell?

Rex: Convince them Alan Jr. is out of commission and ELQ is plummeting.

Scene 10-Tom gets off the elevator at GH, Eve bumps into him.

Eve: Oh, excuse me Dr. Hardy. Um, have you seen Dr. Erickson?

Tom: Over there.

Tom points and Eve goes to Jeremy.

Eve: Jeremy.

Jeremy: Oh, hello Eve. (Lesley gets off the elevator.) Eve, go to my

office, I'll be there in a few minutes.

Eve leaves. Lesley walks over to Tom.

Tom: Lesley, how are the classes?

Lesley: Great, it'll be no time at all.

Tom: Terrific.

Lesley walks over to Jeremy.

Jeremy: Hi. Too bad about the Quartermaines' problem.

Lesley just glares over at Monica who is in the waiting room. Jeremy

smiles. Kevin gets off of the elevator and walks to Tom.

Tom: Hi Kevin, right on time.

They start to walk back to Tom's office, as Scott walks by and stops

them.

Scott: Hey, do either of you know anything about A.J. Quartermaine's

condition?

Tom: No, but it look like Jeff is going to tell them how the surgery

went.

Joe, Karen, and Jeff come out to the waiting room and join Carly, Alan,

Monica, Emily, Steve, Justus, Edward, Ned, Lois, Nicole. Scott, Kevin,

and Tom walk over there.

Alan: How is A.J.?

Just then, Luke and Bobbie get off of the elevator.

Scene 1-At GH, Chris is walking by as the whole Bobbie incident's going

down. Kevin, Tom, Scott, Luke, Bobbie, Lesley, Jeremy, Jeff, Joe, Karen,

Alan, Monica, Edward, Ned, Lois, Justus, Emily, Carly, Nicole, and Steve

are there. Everyone glares at Bobbie. Bobbie goes to Monica and takes

her hand. Everyone stands still.

Bobbie: How is A.J.?

Jeff: Well...

Joe: A.J. made it through the surgery alright, the hole in his heart has

been repaired.

Jeff: Yes, but only temporarily.

Emily: Temporarily?

Jeff: The damage to his heart is too much. He's going to need a

transplant. I have put him on the list for a heart.

Monica: So, (Holding back her fear and tears.) what caused the damage?

Jeff: It appears it was hereditary. I looked back on A.J.'s medical

record and saw that he had heart problems as a baby. Judging from the

information I have about that surgery-this looks like a degenerative

condition.

Alan: He's had this problem his whole life, and we haven't known about

it at all?

Jeff: It's possible A.J. never felt a problem or ruled it as a small

pain that wasn't a problem.

Edward: How long before he needs this, um, uh, heart transplant?

Jeff: At the most, he could hold out at least a week. But, there are no

guarantees even if he does get a transplant.

Carly: He's going to die?

Jeff: I'm going to do everything in my power to keep that from

happening.

Jeff, Joe, and Karen leave. Chris follows.

Edward: Excuse me, I have to see about getting that heart.

Justus: Edward, you're not really going to...

Edward: Of course I am!

Edward and Justus walk off. Bobbie hugs Monica. Monica jumps back from

her.

Scene 2-Matt is wheeling through the halls of GH, and goes by A.J.'s ICU

room and sees Julie standing outside.

Matt: Hey Julie. (Julie's startled.) Something wrong?

Julie: Um... no.

Matt: Are you sure?

Julie: Actually not.

Matt: Wanna talk about it?

Julie: I can't.

Julie looks in on A.J. and walks off.

Scene 3-Garcia is walking through the police station looking for

Detective Darrell Johnson. He stops at everybody's desk.

Garcia: Anyone seen Johnson?

The responses are all "No." Then, Darrell walks in.

Darrell: Commissioner.

Garcia: Where the hell have you been?

Scene 4-Jeff walks in the house, Alexis is sitting on the couch reading

the paper.

Alexis: Jeff, where have you been?

Jeff: The hospital, there was an emergency last night.

Alexis: Steve didn't come home last night, either.

Jeff: He was at the hospital.

Alexis: What? Did something happen to him?

Jeff: He was at Emily Quartermaine's birthday party, when A.J. was

brought in. He has a heart condition and needs a transplant. So, I'll be

on-call. Now, I need to get some sleep.

Scene 5-At the Spencers, Laura and Tony sit at the kitchen table.

Laura: Tony, I have a feeling that you're in for some rough times ahead.

When Luke and I came back, it was very difficult.

Tony: And none of us did anything to help, either.

Laura: We can't blame you, it's our fault.

Tony: You know what, I think I'm going to go to the hospital myself.

Laura: Are you sure?

Tony: Yes.

Tony picks up his coat and leaves.

Scene 6-Scott, Luke, Bobbie, Alan, Monica, Ned, Lois, and Carly are at

the GH waiting room.

Monica: I can't believe you're alive.

Bobbie: I can explain.

Alan: (Forceful.) I can't believe that you let us believe you were dead!

Luke: Alan, there's a reason.

Alan: I understood the last thing you pulled off, but I don't think this

I could.

Alan and Monica walk off. Carly walks to Bobbie and takes her hand. Ned

and Lois walk off, confused. Scott walks up to Bobbie.

Scott: Hi.

Scene 7-Robert and Anna are at Jason's. Robert's on a cell phone.

Robert: James, plans have changed. Someone's caught on. Cassadine has

escaped. Go to the next plan.

Robert folds the phone up.

Anna: Next?

Robert: Yes.

Scene 8-Robin, Jason, and Brenda are in the GH entry. They run into Amy.

Robin: Amy, do you know anything about A.J.'s condition?

Amy: He's in ICU. He's going to need a heart transplant.

Jason: A heart transplant?

Amy: Yes.

Brenda: Why? How?

Scene 9-Garcia and Darrell are in the commissioner's office.

Garcia: Can you tell me where you were?

Darrell: I was taking care of some personal business.

Garcia: Where?

Darrell: The hospital.

Garcia: Are you sick or something?

Darrell: No, I just had to check... I had a check up.

Garcia: Well, I have some people I want you to talk to about the

Corinthos' murder.

Darrell: We're still investigating that?

Garcia: Yes. I don't care if Mac isn't commissioner anymore, I want to

see this through.

Scene 10-Jason, Robin, and Brenda find Alan and Monica outside A.J.'s

ICU room. They are looking at him asleep.

Robin: Alan, Monica.

Alan and Monica turn.

Brenda: We just heard.

Robin: He really needs a transplant?

Alan: Yes.

Monica: We just have to cross our fingers and pray that a heart becomes

available.

Jason: How much time does he have if he doesn't get it?

Alan: A week. (Jason walks off. Whispers to Monica.) What is he doing?

Scene 1-Gail and Audrey are at the nurses station. Tony walks in, both

the women are amazed.

Audrey: Tony!

Tony: Have either of you seen Bobbie... (Sees Luke.) never mind.

Tony follows Luke, who's walking towards the restroom. Gail and Audrey

are confused. Laura walks in.

Laura: Have either of you seen Tony?

Gail: (Points.) He went that way.

Laura finds Luke and Tony.

Laura: It didn't go very well, did it?

Luke: No. Carly's in there (Nods to the restroom door.) with Bobbie.

Monica and Alan weren't too happy to see her.

Laura: Maybe I should go talk to her.

Tony: Please.

Scene 2-The Outback, Mac and Felicia are at the bar.

Mac: I've been thinking about that ring. And I was wondering if there

possibly could have been anything hidden in it.

Kevin and Lucy come in.

Lucy: (Excited.) Oh, this is perfect! Did you two know that Bobbie,

Tony, and Lucas are alive?

Mac: Um, no, Lucy I hadn't heard that good news.

Kevin: Lucy seemed to think you would know being that you identified the

bodies.

Mac: The only way I was able to do the ID was with personal belongings.

Now, would you two like a table?

Kevin: Yes, we would.

Scene 3-Jax and Julia are on Jax's plane.

Jax: Ok, now that we are done with business, where would you like to go?

Julia: I don't know, what are my choices?

Jax: Anywhere you want.

Julia: But, don't you have to file a flight plan ahead of time?

Jax: Yes, but that can all be done in a matter of minutes. Now, where

is the one place that you would like to go?

Julia: No stipulations?

Jax: Pick somewhere you've never been.

Julia: Disney World.

Jax: (Curious.) Disney World?

Julia: Yes. I've never been there and I always wanted to go when I was

younger.

Jax: Disney World it is.

Julia: Orlando, here we come.

Jax: You know I've never been to Orlando, either.

Scene 4-Julie walks into Luke's. Mike is at the bar.

Mike: What can I do for you?

Julie: I'd like a beer.

Mike: Coming up. (Getting her beer.) Is this your first time in here?

Julie: Yeah, I'm new to town. I'm an intern at GH

Mike: Oh. You have the day off?

Julie: For once.

Mike: Tough gig?

Julie: Yeah.

Scene 5-Lucy, Felicia, Mac, Kevin, Scott, and Serena are at The Outback.

Scott: Ok, Luce, what's the special occasion we're all here for?

Lucy: We're here to celebrate Kevin's getting reinstated at the

hospital.

Mac: (Slapping Kevin on the back.) That's great.

Felicia: I have a feeling there’s an "and" coming soon.

Kevin: And, to plan for our wedding.

As Kevin says that, Scott gets a look at Rex and Katherine walking in.

Scene 6-Jax and Julia are the plane flying to Florida.

Jax: Ok, the flight plans been filed. We should be able to take off in

about five minutes.

Scene 7-Stefan is on a cell phone.

Stefan: George came with the ring, but it was the wrong one, it was the

fake.

Helena: Damn! I'll send one of my own men back out to get the one with

proper and necessary information. And, you better cross your fingers

that Mac Scorpio doesn't catch on to what's going on.

Scene 8-Laura, Carly, and Bobbie are in the restroom. Bobbie is pacing

and crying. Carly

is following her around.

Bobbie: Oh my god, this is how I treated you Laura. I'm sorry.

Laura: Time passes and things get better.

Bobbie: (Joking through the tears.) Can I get that guaranteed in

writing? (They laugh and join Tony and Luke in the hall.) Tony, let's go

home.

Tony: The Brownstone?

Bobbie: Yes.

Scene 9-Jason, Robin, and Brenda are at the entrance to GH.

Robin: What was that mysterious call earlier?

Jason: It was about A.J.

Brenda: What? (Surprised.) You're trying to buy him a heart?

Jason stares.

Scene 10-Tom and Simone are in Tom's office.

Simone: Tom, what did you call me in here for?

Tom: I thought I'd let you know the Jones family is alive-Lucas, Bobbie,

and Tony.

Scene 1-Scott, Serena, Lucy, Kevin, Mac, Felicia, Rex, and Katherine are

all at The Outback. Scott gets up and walks over to the table where Rex

and Katherine are seated.

Scott: Hello Katherine.

Katherine: Scott. Oh, I'd like to introduce you to my uncle and

Dominique's, Rex Stanton.

Scott: Hello Rex, I guess that makes you my uncle-in-law.

Rex: Yes. (He laughs.) I guess it does.

Katherine: Scott, was there any reason you came over?

Scott: No, just stopped by to say hi.

Scott walks back to his table.

Lucy: What was that about?

Scott: Getting introduced.

Scene 2-Luke and Laura are in their living room.

Laura: Bobbie and Tony are going to be ok?

Luke: Yeah, I think so. (Kisses Laura.) Now, how about we go upstairs

and make sure you're ok?

Laura: Sounds good. (Kisses Luke.) What about the kids?

Luke: Nick's watching Lu. He said something about some new toy he had

for Lu, and as for Lucky, well, he's a big boy. (They start upstairs,

kissing. The doorbell rings.) Shh... maybe they'll go away.

The doorbell rings again. Laura answers it.

Laura: Rick!

Rick: Where's Lesley?

Scene 3-Jason, Robin, Robert, and Anna are at Jason's.

Robert: Hello.

Robin notices their luggage.

Robin: You're leaving?

Anna: We were thinking that you two newlyweds would like to have this

place to themselves.

Jason: Where are you going?

Robert: We aren't sure.

Robin: How about Sonny's old penthouse?

Anna: The one diagonally across the hall?

Jason: Yeah.

Robin: The place has changed some over the years, but it'll be familiar.

Scene 4-Brenda looks in A.J.’s ICU room. Carly comes around the corner.

Brenda: Carly. (Brenda hugs Carly.) You know it looks bad now, but he's

going to make it. I know it.

Carly: I hope he does.

Karen and Joe go in and check on A.J. They come back out to the hall.

Brenda: How is he?

Karen: He's hanging in there.

Joe: We just have to hope that he can get a heart.

Joe walks off.

Karen: Everyone here is pulling for him.

Scene 5-Mike and Julie are at Luke's. Julie is drunk. Jake comes in.

Jake: Hi Julie.

Mike: You know her?

Jake: Yeah.

Mike: Could you do me a favor?

Jake: Sure, what?

Mike: She's had too much to drink. Could you take her home?

Jake: Yeah, I'd be glad to.

Mike: You know where she lives?

Jake: Yeah, the Scanlons. (Jake takes Julie and starts to escort her

out.) Come on, let's get you home.

Julie: (Look in his eyes.) You're gorgeous.

Scene 6-Robert and Anna are at Sonny's old penthouse.

Anna: Well, here we are. You know what we should do?

Robert: What?

Anna: Put Stefan Cassadine out of our minds and enjoy sometime alone and

together.

Lucy: (Excited, and looking over at Kevin longingly.) Valentine's Day is

going to be perfect.

Scott: We better go. I promised Gail and Lee we'd stop by the house for

a little while.

Lucy: Ok, see you later, pal.

Scott and Serena leave. Lucy stares at Rex and Katherine. She gives

Katherine a nasty look.

Rex: You two don't like each other, do you?

Katherine: No.

Rex: What about Scott?

Katherine: Well, we almost got married once.

Rex: Hmm... so, do you have a relationship with the little princess

Serena?

Katherine: No, I'm sorry to say I don't.

Scene 9-Julie and Jake are outside the Scanlons.

Jake: Here we are. Julie, do you have a key?

Julie: A key? Um, (Looking around confused.) I don't think so.

Joe pulls up and sees them.

Jake: I was at Luke's and found Julie there, she'd had a little too much

to drink, so I thought I should bring her home.

Joe: Ok, let's get her inside. It's cold out here.

Joe and Jake take her in.

Jake: Is Frank home?

Joe: No, he's working tonight.

Jake: You'll be ok with her?

Joe: Yeah, thanks. (Jake leaves.) Julie, I'm going to take you

downstairs, ok.

Joe gets Julie down to the apartment, where Eve is.

Eve: Well, hello.

Joe: (Whispering.) She had a little too much to drink.

Julie: No, I'm fine, see.

Julie breaks free from Joe and tries to walk over to her bed, instead

she falls onto her bed.

Eve: I see.

Julie starts snoring away.

Joe: Night.

Joe goes upstairs and Julie begins to talk in her sleep.

Julie: Oh Jake.

Scene 10-Luke, Laura, and Rick are in the living room.

Rick: Where's Lesley?

Laura: I don't know.

Rick: Don't tell me that. Where is she?

Luke: She ain't lying. We don't know.

Rick: I need to find her.

Nick come upstairs with Lu, having heard the commotion. Nick walks in.

Nick: What's going on?

Scene 1-The next morning; Jax is wearing shorts and a T-shirt, he knocks

on a hotel room door. Julia, also in shorts, comes to the door.

Jax: Good morning. Are you ready to visit the Magic Kingdom?

Julia: Am I ever.

Scene 2-A.J. wakes up in his ICU room to see Tom in the doorway.

A.J.: What happened to me?

Scene 3-Lucy walks up to the nurses station and sees Amy.

Lucy: Hello Amy.

Amy: Lucy, what can I do for you today?

Lucy: Um, I wanted to know how A.J. Quartermaine is doing?

Amy: I’m sorry, we're only allowed to release that information to

relatives.

Lucy: Well, I used to be family. Doesn't that count?

Amy: Sorry, Lucy. Now, if you'll excuse me Lucy, I have patients to

check on.

Amy leaves. Lucy gets nosy and begins to look at the charts on the desk.

Scene 4-Julie wakes up with an enormous hangover.

Julie: Oh my god.

Eve: That's right. And, you have to be at the hospital in twenty

minutes.

Frank comes downstairs.

Frank: Ok, up and at 'em.

Scene 5-Luke, Laura, Lu, and Nick are at the table.

Nick: I'm worried. Why would grandmother just leave him?

Luke: You think Stefan and Helena had something to do with it?

Nick: I don't know. I just think it is odd.

Laura: She is going to be at the hospital today, so maybe you should

check on her.

Nick: I think I'll do that.

Scene 6-Jax and Julia are on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. They are

standing, it is crowded. It stops at the park and the two touch, bumping

into each other during the sudden stop. They smile at each other. They

get off of the monorail and Julia looks around.

Julia: This is incredible.

Scene 7-Tom and A.J. are in A.J.’s ICU room.

Tom: You were brought in with a heart problem. A hole had developed.

Jeff patched it.

A.J.: Am I going to make it?

Tom: You're going to need a transplant.

A.J.: A heart transplant?

Tom: Yes. Do you want me to get your family?

A.J.: No. Can you tell me more about this?

Tom: Actually, I don't know much about it. (Sees Rick walking by.) He

might.

Tom brings Rick in.

Rick: Hi. Um, let me check your chart. I hadn't heard everything, so I

need to get up to speed. (Reads the chart and frowns.) What is it that

you want to know?

A.J.: What is my chance of making it?

Scene 8-Julie and Frank are upstairs at the Scanlons.

Julie: A.J.’s condition doesn't look good.

Frank: I'm sorry.

Frank hugs Julie. Eve comes upstairs.

Eve: I'm sorry, but we have to get to the hospital.

Frank: Bye.

Frank kisses Julie. Julie and Eve leave.

Scene 9-Jax and Julia are in line for Space Mountain.

Julia: I always wanted to ride this roller coaster.

Jax: Really?

Julia: Yes, really. I had always heard about it.

Jax: Excuse me.

Julia: Where are you going?

Jax: I'll be back in a second.

Scene 10-Tom, Rick, and A.J. are in A.J.’s ICU room.

Rick: A.J., if we can get you a heart in the next forty-eight hours, I'd

give you a 99.9% chance of making it.

A.J.: And if you don't?

Rick: The chance of surviving decreases. But, I think you concentrate on

surviving.

Karen comes in.

Karen: Excuse me, I came in to check on A.J.

Rick: I'll see you later.

Rick walks out.

Tom: Karen, have you been here all night?

Karen: Yeah, but I want to see A.J. through this.

A.J. looks up at Karen, with a questioning look.

Scene 1-Stefan and George are at the abandon house.

Stefan: You have to get the real ring back.

George: Yes, sir.

Stefan: And this time, get it right. The real ring contains the computer

virus.

Scene 2-Rex and Katherine are at Katherine’s.

Katherine: I should be at work. Someone has to hold down the fort while

Jax and Julia are gone.

Rex: Ok, let's not worry about that right now. Let's talk about you

getting to know your niece.

Scene 3-Jax and Julia get off the Space Mountain ride.

Julia: Ok, how did we get to the front of the line?

Jax: Ah, that's not up for discussion. What is, is if you enjoyed it.

Julia: I loved it!

Jax: (Looking at his hands.) And I have the scratches to prove it.

Julia: Sorry.

Jax: Hey, it's alright. (They walk in one of those stores where there

are hats for all the different characters.) Which ones should we get?

Scene 4-Nick finds Lesley at GH.

Nick: I was looking for you.

Lesley: Well, here I am. Now, why were you looking for me?

Nick: Rick wanted to know where you were.

Lesley: Oh.

Jeremy is walking by and sees the Nick and Lesley together. Lesley looks

over at him.

Scene 5-Eve and Jake are in the on-call room.

Eve: Well, Jake what exactly did you do for Julie the other night?

Jake: What do you mean?

Eve: I mean Dr. Morris was calling out your name last night.

Jake: Really?

Eve: Yeah, really.

Chris and Matt come in.

Chris: You think Quartermaine is going to make it?

Matt: I'm sure a heart will miraculously fall into their hands.

Eve: Ewww...in their hands?

Matt: You know what I meant.

Chris: Ain't money great?

Eve: If you have it. Jake we'll talk later.

Eve walks out.

Chris: What was that about?

Jake walks out.

Matt: Maybe it's none of your business.

Matt wheels out.

Chris: I think it is.

Scene 6-Stefan is staring at a computer screen.

Stefan: All I need is the last part of the code and then the Cassadines

will be in control of every computer on this planet.

Scene 7-Jeremy is in the hall at GH watching Nick and Lesley.

Nick: How come you didn't show up at home?

Lesley: I left Rick.

Nick: Why?

Lesley: I can't get into that now.

Lesley starts to walk off.

Nick: Why?

Lesley: I can't right now.

Nick: When?

Lesley: I'll talk to you later.

Lesley walks off with Jeremy.

Scene 8-Jeff goes to the kitchen, where Alexis is making a sandwich.

Alexis: Good afternoon, sleepy head.

Jeff: Hi. So, what are your plans for today?

Alexis: I'm going to woof down this sandwich, change clothes, and get to

court. You?

Jeff: Well, my dear, I'm going to make a sandwich. (Takes all the

makings and starts to build a sandwich.) Eat it. Get dressed. Check on

my patients. Come home, and spend sometime with my gorgeous wife.

Alexis: Oh, (Smiles.) that sounds good.

Jeff: (Smiles back.) That's what I thought.

Jeff kisses Alexis.

Alexis: Well, we better get to it, so we can get to the good part.

Scene 9-Chris and Matt are sitting in the on-call room, and Ellen walks

in.

Ellen: Have either of you seen Dr. Morris?

Chris: No, Dr. Burgess.

Matt: Haven’t seen her.

Ellen: If you do, tell her I'm looking for her. I want to discuss

something with her.

Ellen leaves.

Matt: I wonder what's wrong.

Chris: I don't know, but Julie has been acting awful loopy lately.

Part 1-Jeff is sitting in his office at the hospital, fantasizing about

Alexis, when Grace comes in.

G: Dr. Webber.

J: (Startled.) Uh, yes.

G: There was a call. A heart is coming.

J: That's great. Notify the Quartermaines.

G: Ok. Anything else?

J: Yes, try to get a hold of my wife and tell her I won't make it home

tonight.

Scene 2-Lucas, Tommy, Georgie, and Maxie are outside playing in the

snow. Simone, Felicia, and Tony are watching.

Tony: I'm glad they all can get along after everything.

Simone: Tony, I understood completely.

Tony: I know, and I want to thank you for coming out and helping us with

Lucas when he was sick.

Simone: It wasn't a problem.

Felicia: You know, maybe, eventually, things will get back to normal.

Tony: Yeah, I hope so.

Mac walks up to the group.

Mac: Felicia.

Felicia: Hi Mac. What brings you by?

Mac: The ring mystery.

Scene 3-Katherine rings Scott's doorbell and Rhonda answers the door.

Rhonda: Katherine Bell?!?

Katherine: Yes. What are you doing here?

Rhonda: I'm Scott's secretary. I'm working. What are you doing here?

Katherine: I'd like to see Scott.

Scene 4-Lois is holding Brooke, as she hangs up the phone. Ned comes

downstairs.

Lois: That was your grandfather.

Ned: If it was about ELQ, I don't want to hear it.

Lois: No, it wasn't. It was about A.J. They found a heart.

Ned stands there with a blank look upon his face.

Lois: I realize that you and A.J. don't get along, but he's your family.

Ned: Family, Lois, there's something I want to ask you.

Lois: Yeah, what?

Ned: It's something I think you'll say yes to, but I want to wait until

this whole thing with A.J. is over.

Lois: Ok.

Ned: Um, let me go get the car keys, so that we can get to the hospital.

Ned leaves.

Lois: Brooke, what's your daddy got up his sleeves?

Scene 5-Luke comes home from the club to find Laura in the living room,

playing with Lu.

Luke: Hi. How was your day?

Laura: Good, I'm amazed you're home so early.

Luke: Well, I was hoping to start up from where we left off before we

were interrupted the other night.

Luke kisses Laura.

Laura: That's great, but Lucky just went to the hospital to see what he

could do for Emily. A.J.’s having the heart transplant and Nickolas

hasn't come home, yet, and we have Lulu here.

Nick comes in.

Luke: Ah, perfect timing.

Laura: Nickolas, would you watch Lu this evening?

Nick: Sure, but grandmother might come by.

Laura: Did she explain why Rick couldn't find her?

Nick: She said she left him and I asked her why. She wouldn't tell me.

She said she'd explain it later.

Laura: I think I know.

Scene 6-Jason, Robin, Alan, Monica, Brenda, Julie, Kevin, Carly, Lois,

Ned, Nick, Rick, Justus, Joe, Tom, Emily, Lucky, Steve, Edward, Jeff,

and Gail are in the waiting room.

Jeff: Well, this is quite a gathering.

Karen: Dr. Webber-Julie, Joe, and I are going to be observing. We can

leave.

Jeff: No, stay. I just wanted to let the family know that we are going

to be starting the transplant in about twenty minutes.

Alan: Everything looks good?

Jeff: Yes, I have every reason to believe that if this surgery goes

according to plan, A.J. will make a one-hundred percent recovery.

Rick, Julie, Karen, and Joe leave. Jason, Robin, and Brenda stand away

from the family. Carly walks to them.

Carly: Jason, did you get this heart for A.J.? (Jason does not speak.)

That's ok, I know what you did. Thank you.

Carly hugs Jason. Alan, Monica, and Edward are seated on a couch. Alan

looks at Monica.

Alan: He's going to make it.

Monica: I know, I know.

Tom and Gail come over.

Tom: I came up to tell you we're all thinking about you and my mother is

praying for you.

Alan: Tell Audrey thank you.

Tom: I will.

Tom walks off. Gail grabs Monica's arm.

Gail: I'm here for you.

Monica looks up at her teary-eyed.

Scene 7-Felicia and Mac are inside the Brownstone.

Felicia: So, what do you think about this ring mystery?

Mac: I think there's got to be some reason that somebody wants that

ring.

Felicia: Yeah.

Mac: Until we can figure it out, maybe you should put it somewhere safe.

Felicia: Ok, the cookie jar.

Mac: Ok.

Felicia puts the ring in her cookie jar, above the refrigerator. She

looks at Mac, who is staring at her.

Felicia: What?

Mac: I thought maybe we could pick up where we left off, before Texas.

Maxie, Georgie, Tommy, and Lucas come running in.

Maxie: Mom, can we have some hot chocolate?

Scene 8-Katherine and Rhonda are in the entryway of Scott's mansion.

Rhonda: What do you want see him about?

Scott and Serena run in, covered in snow.

Scott: Katherine.

Katherine: Hello Scott.

Serena: Who is she?

Rhonda: Scott, I...

Scott: It's ok Rhonda, you can go home.

Scene 9-Luke, Laura, and Nick are in the Spencer living room.

Nick: What?

Laura: It's very complicated.

The doorbell rings. Luke opens the door. It is Lesley.

Nick: I guess she'll tell me.

Lesley: Yes, I will.

Scene 10-Katherine and Scott are in Scott's living room.

Scott: So, why are you here?

Katherine: I wanted to talk to you about getting to know my niece.

Scott: And, why do you want to do that?

Katherine: She's my niece.

Scott: You're not in it for a piece of the pie?

Katherine: No! If Lucy didn’t tell you, I came into a lot of money when

Damian Smith

died. I'm very well off.

Scene 1-Luke, Laura, Lesley, Nick, and Lu are in the Spencer living

room.

Lesley: I left Rick because the last thirteen years at every

cardiologist convention he has had a rendezvous affair with Monica

Quartermaine.

Nick: He thought you were dead.

Lesley: Yes, but this year, he had planned to meet up with her, until

the shooting at the club. She never made it to Florida.

Laura: How do you know this?

Lesley: I heard it on tape.

Luke: Tape, how?

Lesley: Someone tape their conversation.

Laura: Who?

Lesley: It doesn't matter, I'm divorcing Rick.

Nick: But he didn't have an affair.

Lesley: Yes, but this seems like some cycle and I'm not going to go

through it anymore.

Scene 2-Jason, Robin, Alan, Monica, Brenda, Carly, Lois, Ned, Gail,

Edward, Nicole, Justus, Emily, Lucky, and Steve are in the GH waiting

area. Sly comes walking in with a stack of presents. He walks to Nicole,

Lucky, Emily, and Steve.

Emily: Sly.

Sly: Hi. Um, these are all the gifts you didn't get to open the other

night.

Lucky: We all thought you could use a break from worrying about A.J.

Emily: You're right. We all could.

Everyone gathers as she opens her gifts. She finds a small box and sees

it is from Sly. She opens it to find a beautiful gold bracelet. Lucky

stares coldly at Sly.

Scene 3-Robert and Anna go to the police station and meet with Garcia.

Garcia: What can I do for you?

Robert: We are looking for Stefan Cassadine and we'd like your

assistance.

Garcia: What is this about?

Robert: We can't tell you.

Garcia: How am I supposed to help

Robert: Just use all of your police power to help us.

Scene 4-Lucy and Kevin are at the lighthouse. The telephone rings.

Lucy: Hello.

Rex: Is this Lucy Coe?

Lucy: Yes, who is this?

Rex: Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Rex Stanton.

Lucy: Oh, Dominique and Kathy's uncle.

Rex: Yes. I'm calling regarding ELQ.

Lucy: What about it?

Rex: I was told you might be interested in selling your share of stock.

Lucy: Where'd you hear this?

Rex: Around town.

Lucy: Well, that could be true.

Rex: I'm interested in buying.

Scene 5-Scott and Katherine are in Scott's living room.

Katherine: Yes. I'm not interested in money. I'm interested in family.

Scott: Ok, you can visit Serena anytime you want.

Katherine: Thank you.

Scene 6-Jax and Julia are at Disney World, the fireworks are going off.

Julia: Wow! This is incredible!

Jax: (Staring at Julia.) Yes.

Julia: (Notices his staring and looks at him.) This has been fun.

Jax: Yes, it has.

Julia slowly comes towards Jax and they kiss, as there is a big bang of

fireworks.

Scene 7-Alexis comes home and sees there is a message on her machine.

She pushes the button.

Grace: Hello. This is a nurse from GH. Your husband asked me to call and

let you know he won't be home. He's performing a heart transplant.

Alexis: Damn. I have to fantasize more I guess.

Scene 8-Garcia, Anna, and Robert are walking out of the police station.

Garcia: I'll do what I can.

Darrell sees them all coming out.

Robert: Thank you.

Robert and Anna leave. Darrell gets on the phone at his desk.

Garcia: Johnson, go home.

Darrell: But, sir.

Garcia: Go!

Darrell leaves. He gets on a pay phone outside the station.

Darrell: Helena.

Scene 9-Lucy and Kevin are at the lighthouse. Lucy is on the phone with

Rex.

Lucy: You are, why?

Rex: I'm ready to take a chance.

Lucy: What do you mean?

Rex: I've done some research and ELQ has had some problems since Alan,

Jr. has been ill.

Lucy: Problems?

Rex: Too numerous to mention.

Lucy: Ok, Rex, why don't we set up a meeting for tomorrow morning.

Rex: Nine, Port Charles Grill?

Lucy: I'll see you then.

Rex: Bye.

Lucy: Ta.

They both hang up.

Kevin: You're selling your stock?

Lucy: I'm going to call Scott and meet with him first. And, we'll try

and figure out what this Rex person is up to.

Scene 10-Emily and Lucky are in a corridor at the hospital.

Lucky: (Upset.) You know what Sly was thinking when he gave that to you?

Emily: Uh, yes, I have an idea.

Lucky: He obviously wasn't thinking about what I'd do to him.

Emily: Please. Don't, not with A.J.’s problem. Well, plus if you do

that, I'd feel more and more like a piece of property than a person.

Lucky: I'm sorry, I'm sorry about everything.

Steve comes along.

Steve: The surgery is done. My dad is coming to talk to the family.

Scene 1-The next morning, Alan and Monica are in A.J.’s hospital room.

A.J. is asleep. Carly is looking in the window and Julie comes and looks

in.

Carly: He's going to be alright?

Julie: (Swallowing hard.) Yeah, he is.

Alan looks out and sees Julie. He walks out.

Alan: Um, Julie, I'd like to talk to you for a few minutes.

Julie: Sure.

Alan: Let's go to my office.

They walk off. Carly wonders what's going on.

Scene 2-Lucy and Scott are sitting at the Port Charles Grill and Rex

comes in.

Rex: Well, hello Ms. Coe, Mr. Baldwin.

Scott: Rex.

Rex sits.

Rex: So, you're both interested in selling?

Scott: Um, possibly.

Scene 3-Jeff and Rick are in Jeff's office.

Rick: You did a terrific job last night.

Jeff: Thank you very much.

Rick: So, what's next on your schedule?

Jeff: I'm going to go home and crash.

Alexis comes in.

Alexis: Hi.

Rick looks at Alexis' glowing and excited face.

Rick: Are you sure?

Jeff: (Looking at her.) No.

Rick: You know what, I think I should leave you two alone.

Rick leaves. Jeff and Alexis look at each other wantonly.

Scene 4-Luke and Laura go to the waiting room where Lucky and Emily are.

Emily is asleep across Lucky's legs. Lucky looks at the bracelet Sly

gave her.

Lucky: Hi. (Gently moving Emily off himself.) What are you guys doing

here?

Laura: We wanted to find out about the surgery and see if we could find

your grandmother.

Lucky: They say the surgery went smooth. Why are you looking for

grandma?

Luke: She left Rick.

Emily wakes.

Emily: Oh, hi.

Laura: Hi. We didn't mean to wake you.

Lucky: Um, you can tell me more about it later.

Luke: Yeah, good idea. We'll be going.

Lucky: Later.

Luke and Laura leave.

Emily: What was that about?

Scene 5-Jason is looking out the penthouse window, down on the world.

Robin comes out of the kitchen with coffee.

J: I have to go.

R: Are you going to see how AJ is?

J: No, I have some business.

R: Where are you going?

J: Out of town, I won't be gone long.

Jason leaves. Robin takes a sip of coffee and looks down, seeing all the

guards at the entrance to the building.

Scene 6-Kevin knocks on Tom's office door.

T: Kevin, come in.

Kevin walks in and sits.

K: So, do I get to be reinstated or not?

T: My vote is a yes. But, before this goes to the board, you have to

have a psychological profile done.

K: Ok.

T: You'll meet with Gail Baldwin at two this afternoon. It'll be pretty

much routine. You know what to expect.

Scene 7-Luke knocks on Helena Cassadine's office door at the hospital.

Then, he saunters on in, and lights up his cigar.

L: Hi madam C.

H: Ah, Luke Spencer.

Scene 8-Alan and Julie are in Alan's office.

A: Julie, I think I'm going to tell the family.

J: Are you sure that's a good idea?

A: I think I have to.

J: What about making sure-um, testing, DNA testing.

A: My name is on the birth certificate, that's enough for me. But, if

you'd like some tests. I'm open.

J: One of the interns is into DNA testing, he could do the test and no

one would have to know about this if there is some kind of mistake.

A: Ok.

J: I'll talk to Jake about it.

A: Ok.

J: Um, I hope everything turns out alright with A.J.

A: Thank you.

Scene 9-Monica is in a chair next to A.J.

M: Oh, how I wish things were different. I know you're so mad at me and

I was mad at you. But, there was a time you'd walk in the room and I

would grin from ear to ear. I was so proud of you, and I still am. There

was a time we got along. I hope that we can get that back.

Lesley is looking in the window, and then she comes in.

Lesley: Monica.

Monica: (Startled.) Lesley.

Lesley: How is he?

Monica: It looks good.

Lesley: How are you?

Monica: Holding up.

Lesley hugs Monica.

Lesley: It'll get better.

Lesley walks out, spotting Laura.

Laura: Mother.

Jason walks by the room, looking in. He gives a little look upwards. He

walks off.

Lesley: Laura.

Laura: After everything, I can’t believe how you acted.

Scene 10-Robin sits in the penthouse looking at her college books and

then a letter from Yale. She reads it.

Robin: Ms. Scorpio, there are so many opportunities... We would love for

you to return... (Talking to herself.) What should I do?

The doorbell rings. She goes to the door to find her parents.
